AltaPointe Health Systems provides psychiatric healthcare services in Mobile, Alabama. They are a large organization, with 44 facilities across three counties, and regulated by several governing bodies, including The Joint Commission. Despite their size and complexities, they were inefficiently using a paper and spreadsheet system to manage their environment of care.


Enabling easier and more efficient management

AltaPointe implemented the EoScene eCMS™ Compliance Management Solution, which is a suite of web-based tools that enable organizations to more easily and efficiently manage their environment of care.

For the implementation, AltaPointe did not need to purchase any new hardware and the staff received remote training on the software. Since then, all of their staff members have found the system easy to use and have recognized that it simplifies their job.


Increasing operational efficiency and ROI

Due to its flexibility and user friendliness, the system lets the AltaPointe staff adapt their rounds and drills to each of their unique facilities, which range from three-group homes to psychiatric hospitals. Furthermore, employees can regularly suggest modifications to their department’s drill or survey checklist to continuously improve the system’s effectiveness.

AltaPointe is also handling inspections much more efficiently with the system. Rather than spending time and effort chasing paper, they are prepared for inspections—saving an estimated 50 hours per month. In turn, they have reallocated these hours to prevention and training to raise awareness for environment of care throughout their network.

AltaPointe now completes an average of 98% of surveys on time, when they were only able to complete about 30% with their previous system of paper and spreadsheets. Because they now know who is responsible for what, they can resolve any issues with that person.
